-- UFIDA Software Co. Ltd. (SHSE: 600588) has formed a strategic
alliance with CPCNet, a CITIC Pacific company (SEHK: 267), to deliver
services that will make it easier for companies with presence in Asia Pacific
to manage their enterprise resources across Asia, including Greater China and Japan.
Under the "Vision Asia Alliance", both companies will deliver Asia Pacific's
first enterprise solution that fully connects global businesses to China and Japan.
This integrated enterprise service includes CPCNet's network infrastructure services
and UFIDA's ERP software, designed to meet regional demand for multi-site ERP solutions.
CPCNet and UFIDA will capitalize their Hong Kong presence to facilitate more efficient
coordination between both companies, with UFIDA recently making Hong Kong its Asia Pacific
headquarters (except Japan). In addition, both companies will maximize their deep understanding
of the Mainland China market to provide greater value and service differentiation to MNCs and
Japanese companies operating in China.
Immediate benefits will include real-time financial and logistics interfaces to China and Japan
operations, as well as providing highly reliable private networks, with sophisticated high-bandwidth
connectivity options to corporation branching out into China. In addition, new remote office capabilities
such as video-conferencing and remote access will be available from anywhere within Asia Pacific.
Both companies will invest significant resources in this partnership as well as train a designated team of employees from both sides to offer pre-sales and post-sales support for the service offering.
Starting in 2006, UFIDA plans to invest more than RMB$10 million in the Asia Pacific region. "Our long-term objective is to build a world-class organization, and we perceive that the global knowledge base of Asia Pacific's IT firms and talent pool can help us advance in this direction."
