launch of its new Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS).
Branded as TrueCONNECT™ PREMIUM VPLS, the new service
is a premium VPN service capitalizing on Ethernet infrastructure
to deliver highly reliable private LAN yet sophisticated
high-bandwidth connectivity to mainland China.
Developed to provide an even wider range of connectivity
options to corporation branching out into China, TrueCONNECT™
PREMIUM VPLS allows customers to extend their private
LAN over a Wide Area Network (WAN) and connect all their
sites to an Ethernet VPN. With VPLS, all sites appear
to be on the same LAN even they are located in different
locations, allowing customers to build secure, high-speed
homogeneous network.

TrueCONNECT™ PREMIUM VPLS strengthens CPCNet's
international connectivity portfolio which includes
its flagship product TrueCONNECT™ MPLS IP VPN service
and GlobalCONNECT Managed International Private Leased
Circuit (MIPLC), Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) and
Frame Relay (FR) connectivity.
The service is ideal for medium to large enterprises
operating in multiple sites. It is particularly useful
for companies whose security policies discourage the
sharing of routing information, specifically, IP addresses,
to outside party.
TrueCONNECT™ PREMIUM VPLS allows its customer to
retain full routing control of their private network.
This means customers not only have the upper hand on
traffic prioritization, they are also able to protect
their routing information.

hub to avail of the service. And since Ethernet is a
mature and widely deployed technology, customers will
not have a hard time hiring staff with appropriate skill
sets. They can also do away with the training for IT
personnel since there is no need to design, manage,
configure and maintain separate WAN access environment.
